WimBash West Haven Beach Music Festival 2016

Doug Wimbish and Nova Sound Studios, LLC together with Mayor Edward O’Brien and the City of West Haven, CT, Rockhouse School of Music and Z’s Corner Cafe presented the 2nd Annual WimBash West Haven Beach Music Festival sponsored by Yale University on Saturday, August 13, 2016.

The family friendly, free festival featured music for all ages with live music on two stages, DJ, food trucks and beer garden, raffles, giveaways and WImBash event T-shirts for sale. The WimBash event benefitted West Haven youth music programs.

An exciting day of music with internationally acclaimed musicians and bands sharing the stages with local hometown Connecticut favorites featured young musicians including Brooklyn’s teen metal superstars, Unlocking the Truth.

Mayor Ed O’Brien bestowed citations on Unlocking the Truth’s guitarist-vocalist Malcolm Brickhouse,drummer Jarad Dawkins and bassist Alec Atkins for “Excellence in Community Service and Leadership in Mentoring Young People in the Music Industry.”
